Networking is – in particular for freelancers like me – an essential part of the strategy and offers the individual solution for each customer. As a result, networking is a priority with me, as well as the collaboration with colleagues and partners.
Sommelier-Union Deutschland e.V.
Sommeliers can traditionally be found in restaurants. But today, numerous colleagues can also be found in trade, where they recommend the customers the suitable beverage for a certain meal. The basic skills for a sommelier to be good are excellent product knowledge as well as a sense for an individual, for one’s desires and needs. And this is where the factor of communication comes in. Knowledge is helpful only when you are, too, able to convey and to use it adequately.
Since the May of 2017, I’m the president of the German sommeliers’ association, and I’m above all involved in the areas of promotion of young sommeliers, of communication and of collaboration with the international partner associations under the umbrella of the A.S.I. (Association de la Sommellerie Internationale, International Sommelier Association).
When it comes to cooperative partnership, Christian Frens and his team are my paramount go-to persons. We have been having an intense and close exchange of views as well as a close collaboration for years.

… is not only the motto of Sommelier Consult but it’s, too, their program. Sommelier Consult is the nationwide network of sommeliers in Germany and is the merger of passionate wine professionals from all over Germany, who are enthusiastically conveying their knowledge about enjoyment.
But I’m also working closely together with other colleagues and agencies.

Agence à la carte is not a normal agency because it consists of self-employed communication specialists. Each one contributes his or her strength, whether in the area of ideas, editing, events, or as well online, like in social media communication. Authentic passion and personal experiences are the basic for success and for the increasing number of companies and associations working together with the team.

The trio, together with its team, is your personal consultant for public relations; they know what else is important besides professionalism: trustful interpersonal relations. Public Relations are their passion, which they are using, besides fun, a great deal of team spirit, and a viable network. I’m also integrated in this networking.
